Profession of faith reflects a public commitment by a previously baptized (by immersion) Christian to become a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Is this for me?
Joining the Seventh-day Adventist Church by Profession of Faith is intended for those who have already been baptized by immersion. Please see below for some examples.
- Your membership information is lost and you want to re-establish your membership into the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- You have been previously baptized by immersion into another denomination, and now you want to become a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- You have wandered away from your faith, but want to become a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church again.
What to Expect
Prior to your Profession of Faith pastors will instruct you in the fundamental Biblical truths so you will enter the Church on a sound spiritual basis. We rejoice with your family, friends, the angels in heaven, and our Lord Jesus Christ as your commit your life to God. Professions of Faith, along with Baptisms, are usually performed on the 3rd Sabbath of every month. Special effort is taken to accommodate your requests, so please be sure to indicate your preference when you contact the church office.
For the Profession of Faith ceremony, the pastor will list the Biblical truths presented in your Bible study and you will publicly accept those truths.
After you have publicly professed your faith, you will recieve a Profession of Faith certificate signed by the officiating minister and the church clerk. This certificate will also be sent to the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to comlplete your church membership.
